Novel of a wardrobe: A chic Parisienne from the Belle Epoque through the Thirties
Musée Carnavalet, Paris
17 october 2013 – 16 March 2014
Fabulous fashions to dream about, relating the story of a woman of exquisite taste — and the means to indulge it. Daughter of a dressmaker, she was one of the first saleswomen for a grand couturier house. In creating the exhibition, “Little by little, the clothes unveiled their secrets.” A woman of exquisite taste and great originality who could wear both Cartier jewelry and modernist plastic…now, that’s style.
The Little Prince: A New York Story

Chagall: Love, War, and Exile
The Jewish Museum, New York
15 September 15, 2013 – 2 February 2014
This is the dark Chagall, whose painting “The Fall of the Angel” (left) is called “the allegory of an age of terror.” This is the painter who fled from brutal persecution in the Soviet Union in 19xx, then fled again from a tormented Europe in 1939. Not many sweet floating lovers here, but raw canvases filled with burning villages, old men beaten by soldiers, flayed animals. And in painting after painting, Christ crucified, shown wearing a Jewish tallis, or with a Christian halo, or as an ordinary man. Trying to depict the horror of his age, the annihilation of a people and culture he loved, he wrote that he felt “crucified like Christ/ With nails pounded in the easel.”
can’t wait to read your final and published book. I smell bestseller all per it….
much love to you always
